Abstract

Još od davnina čovjek je želio trajno zabilježiti svoj odraz lika iz ogledala, a bez pomoći umjetnikove ruke to je i uspio otkrićem fotografije. Prvu fotografiju napravio je Joseph Nicephore Niepce davne 1839. godine. Njeno otkriće i razvoj tijekom 19.st može se pribrojati najznačajnijim tečevinama toga, velikim pronalascima, obilatog stoljeća. Fotografije su prošle niz tehnoloških promjena i poboljšanja, od najstarijih fotografija u obliku daguerotipija, tablotipija, preko albuminskih postupaka i otkrivanja želatine, pa sve do želje da se fotografija prihvati kao umjetnost što je za posljedicu imalo mnoge kreativne postupke, preko otkrića filma i fotografije u boji, pa sve do danas kada se ponovno nalazi pred revolucionarnom promjenom, pred ulaskom u elektroničko doba i digitalni zapis.

Abstract in english: Since ancient times man wanted to mark down his reflection from the mirror and finally he managed to do that with the discovery of photography without any help of an artist’s hand. First photography was made by Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1839. Discovery and development of photography during the 19th century can be added to the major progress and big discoveries of that century. Photography had many technological changes and improvements, from the oldest photography like daguerreotype, talbotype over album procedure and discovery of gelatine to desire of accepting photography as an Art.˝ That led to many creative usages, discovery of film and colour photography. Until now when photography is again in front of the revolutionary changes entering electronic age and digital print.
