Abstract

Ispitivana je kinetika sorpcije kationskog bojila metilenskog modrila iz vodenih otopina na prirodni zeolitni tuf s masenim udjelom klinoptilolita 50-60% u ovisnosti o koncentraciji bojila. Za opisivanje eksperimentalnih rezultata ispitani su modeli: model difuzije kroz film, model difuzije kroz površinu zeolita, homogeni difuzijski model, model pseudo-prvog reda, model pseudo-drugog reda i Elovichov model. Najbolje slaganje s eksperimentalnim podacima daje model pseudo-drugog reda. U otopini najmanje koncentracije bojila- 21,1 mg dm-3, brzinu sorpcije kontrolira vanjska difuzija (difuzija kroz film i difuzija kroz površinu zeolita), a u otopinama većih koncentracija bojila, brzinu sorpcije kontrolira i difuzija unutar pora čestica zeolita. Ravnotežne mase sorbiranih molekula bojila najbolje odgovaraju Langmuirovoj izotermi što upućuje na to da se na površini čestica zeolita sorbira monosloj molekula metilenskog modrila.

Abstract in english: The kinetics of adsorption of cationic methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions on natural zeolite tuff with clinoptilolite containing 50-60% depending on the concentration of dye was investigated. To describe the experimental results were tested: a model of diffusion through the film, diffusion through the surface and homogeneous diffusion model, the model pseudo-first order model of pseudo-second order and Elovichov model. The best agreement with experimental data shows the model of pseudo-second order. The dye solution concentration 21.1 mg dm-3 overall adsorption rate is controlled by external diffusion (diffusion through the film and diffusion through the surface of zeolite), and solutions with higher concentrations of speed controlled adsorption and diffusion within the pores of zeolite particles. By Experimental data of equilibrium mass adsorbed dyes best fit Langmuir isotherm, indicating that the surface of zeolite monolayers adsorbed methylene blue molecules.
