Abstract
Diplomski rad se bavi komparativnim istraživanjem dva različita časopisa National Geographic te National Geographic Junior. Oba časopisa izlaze na području Republike Hrvatske, obrađuju iste ili slične teme, te se razlikuju s obzirom na dizajn časopisa i ciljanu publiku kojoj su namijenjeni. U prvom dijelu diplomskog rada prikazan je pregled časopisa s obzirom na glavne karakteristike samog medija kroz parametre vizualne strukture časopisa. Kada govorimo o parametrima koje čine vizualnu strukturu časopisa mislimo na broj slikovnih i tekstualnih elemenata u određenoj publikaciji, njihov odnos, raspored i mnogo drugih stvari koje čine jedan kvalitetan časopis. Uz sve to potrebno je kompozicijski uskladiti sve elemente, koji bi prije svega trebali biti u funkciji prenošenja poruke. Ujedno su u diplomskom radu prikazani jedni od mnogih kompozicijskih rješenja časopisa National Geographic i National Geographic Junior, kroz upotrebu različitih mrežnih sustava. Kroz prikazane primjere analizirati će se i usporediti različitosti rješenja dizajna tih dvaju časopisa te njihov pristup ciljanoj skupini kojoj su namijenjeni. U drugom, praktičnom dijelu, prikazani su rezultati istraživanja dobiveni analizom ankete, koja prikazuje gledište ispitanika s obzirom na hipoteze koje su postavljene u ovom diplomskom radu.

Abstract in english: | Thesis deals with comparative study of two different magazines National Geographic and National Geographic Junior. Both magazines are published in Croatia and they cover the same or similar themes. The difference between those two magazines is in a design and different target group. The firs part of the thesis presents a review of the magazine and the main characteristic of the media through the parameters of the visual structure of the magazine . When we talk about the parameters that makes the visual structure, we think of the number of images and text elements in particular publication, their relationship, structure and many other things that makes a good magazine. With all that, it is necessary to harmonize all that elements of composition, witch primarily role should be transmitting the message. In the thesis is also presented one of the many composition solutions of the magazines National Geographic i National Geographic Junior, through the use of different grid systems. The examples will be analyzed and compared in the diversity of designs solutions of those two magazines, and their approach to the target group to witch they are intended. The second practical part of the thesis shows results obtained from analysis of survey research, witch shows the view of respondents with regard to the hypotheses that have been presented in this thesis. |
