Abstract

Računala su postala dio svakodnevice i sve više osoba, pogotovo mladih, provodi veliki dio svog vremena gledajući u zaslon svog prijenosnog računala, tableta ili pametnog telefona. Tako je za grafičke i web dizajnere postalo nužno znati kako u digitalnom svijetu neki proizvod, bio to program, aplikacija, internetska stranica ili nešto drugo, učiniti vizualno primamljivim i prepoznatljivim te što jednostavnijim za korištenje. Boja se smatra jednim od najvažnijih elemenata kod izrade bilo kakvog grafičkog korisničkog sučelja te je pravilno korištenje njezinih svojstava jedna od najvažnijih vještina. U ovom radu cilj je bio ispitati na koji način osobe koje se redovito koriste računalima i posjećuju internetske stranice doživljavaju boje u njihovim korisničkim sučeljima i kakvu percepciju imaju o sposobnosti utjecaja boje na privlačenje njihove pažnje i utjecaja na njihove odluke i radnje pri korištenju tih korisničkih sučelja. To je učinjeno pomoću dviju neovisnih internetskih anketa i pomoću pokusa gdje se pravilnim odabirom boja na dvije internetske stranice tražilo ispitanike da izvrše zadatke te se pomoću boja pokušavalo upravljati njihovim ponašanjem. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su kako sve osobe imaju izgrađene stavove prema bojama i kako one utječu na njihovo ponašanje u digitalnom svijetu iako su rezultati pokusa pokazali kako se bojom može utjecati na način korištenja internetskih stranica.

Abstract in english: Computers have become a part of everyday life and more and more people, especially younger ones, spend much of their time watching at the screen of a laptop, tablet or a smartphone. So it's an imperative for web and graphic designers to know how to make a product in the digital world, be it a program, application, web site or something else, visually attractive and memorable, and easy to use. Color is considered to be one of the most important elements of a graphic user interface so one of the most important skills is correct use of all her components. The goal of this paper was to examine how users who use their computers and visit web sites on a regular basis, experience colors in user interfaces and how their perception is about the colors ability to attract their attention and affect their decisions and the things they do when they use a user interface. This was done with two different online surveys and an experiment where two websites where designed whit a thoughtfully picked color scheme and the participants were asked to do assignments, and we tried to guide their behavior with colors. The results of the surveys and experiment showed that all participants have built attitudes towards colors and how they affect their behavior in the digital world although the results of the experiment show that color can be used to control the way web sites are used.
