Abstract

Diplomski rad se zasniva na hipotezi da je modna fotografija žanr umjetničke fotografije, i fokusira se na njenu sintaksu. Ta hipoteza se dokazuje kroz istraživanje kompozicije preko elemenata fotografskog oblikovanja (točka, linija, ploha, vo-lumen, tekstura, boja, valeri) i estetskih načela (perspektiva, ritam, harmonija, kontrast, ravnoteža, dominacija i jedinstvo). Daljom razradom, istražuje se koli-ko se modna fotografija temelji na estetskim normama preuzetim iz slikarstva, i ikonografiji koju joj je nametao dominantni fotografski stil (piktoralizam, nadre-alizam, futurizam, dada i postmodernizam), da bi se na kraju autor fokusirao na sintaktička pravila koja je kreirao svaki fotograf pojedinačno, neovisno od pravca koji je u to vrjmeme djelovao, već isključivo prema osobnom nahođenju. Dobivene rezultate teoretskog istraživanja, autor je praktično primjenio kroz svoje modne fotografije, razrađene kroz nekoliko tematskih cijelina.

Abstract in english:	This thesis is based on the hypothesis that the Fashion Photography is a fine art photography genre, and focuses on its syntax. This hypothesis is proved through research of the elements of photographic composition design (point, line, area, volume, texture, color, valers) and aesthetic principles (perspective, rhythm, harmony, contrast, balance, dominance and unity). Further elaboration explores how Fashion Photography is based both on aesthetic norms borrowed from painting and iconography that it imposed by the dominant photographic style (Pictorialism, Surrealism, Futurism, Dada, and Postmodernism). Finally, the author focuses on the syntactic rules created by each author individually, regardless of the direction that is imposed at the time. The obtained results of theoretical research the author has applied practically through his fashion photography, developed through several stories.
