Abstract

QR kod je matrični 2D barkod koji je postao popularan zbog svoje brze čitljivosti i mogućnosti pohrane velike količine podataka. QR tehnologija koja omogućuje modifikacije koda i do 30%, te razvoj mobilnih telefona, omogućili su popularnost QR koda u cijelom svijetu te je on postao još jedan moderni komunikacijski alat. U ovom diplomskom radu tema je njegova čitljivost s obzirom na dizajn. U teorijskom dijelu rada objašnjena je automatska identifikacija, barkod tehnologija, podjela na linearne i 2D kodove, zatim je opisan QR kod, njegova struktura, generiranje, primjena i moguća zlouporaba. U eksperimentalom dijelu je pomoću Photoshop-a i Illustrator-a projektirano deset individualiziranih QR kodova s opisanim postupcima njihove izrade. Provedeno je istraživanje pomoću barkod čitača te optičkih čitača: aplikacija i-nigma i NeoReader instaliranim na iPhone, Lumia i Galaxy mobilnim telefonima. Provjerena je čitljivost samih kodova s obzirom na dodavanje boje, promjenu strukture, količinu znakova i tehnike tiska.

Abstract in english: QR Code is a matrix 2D barcode that has become popular due to its fast readability and its capability to store large amounts of data. QR technology that allows modification of the code up to 30%, and the development of mobile phones, has allowed the popularity of QR codes in the world and it has become another modern communication tool. This thesis topic is its readability due to the design. The theoretical part of the paper explains the automatic identification, barcode technology, division of linear and 2D codes, then the QR code itself, specifically its structure, how it is generated, use and possible abuse. The experimental part is ten individualized QR codes designed using Photoshop and Illustrator with detailed design steps. The research was performed using barcode reader and optical readers: the i-nigma and NeoReader applications installed on the iPhone, Lumia and Galaxy mobile phones. The readability of the individual codes themselves was tested with consideration to color addition, structural change, quantity of symbols and quality of print.
