Abstract

Osjet boje je posljedica elektromagnetskog zračenja vidljivog dijela spektra, a ovisan je o vrsti svjetlosti, karakteristikama promatranog objekta i ljudskom faktoru. Boju možemo mjeriti u fizičkom smislu s obojenih površina pomoću za to namijenjenih instrumenata, ali osjet boje nemoguće je mjeriti jer je on zavisan od promatrača do promatrača. U ovom završnom radu prezentirala se teorija koju je potrebno poznavati kako bi se razumio pojam boje i kako ona funkcionira ovisno o kontekstu, a u eksperimentalnom dijelu istražila se pojava simultanog kontrasta i kako on djeluje osjet boje na otisnutim testnim karticama. Istraživanje se provelo pomoću dvanaest testnih kartica. Testne kartice su sastavljene od primarnog stimulusa obojenog u cijan, magentu i žutu boju, koji je apliciran na četiri različite akromatske pozadine. Pomoću izvršenih mjerenja, matematičkim se putem izrazila razlika realne i percipirane vrijednosti boje.

Abstract in english: The sense of color is the result of electromagnetic radiation of the visible part of the spectrum, and it depends on the type of light, on the the characteristics of the observed object and on the human factor. In physical terms, the color can be measured from colored surfaces by using a measuring instruments, but the sensation of color is impossible to measure because it depends from observer to observer. This final paper is presenting, through theory, the concept of color and how it functions depending on the context. In the experimental part of the work, the phenomenon of simultaneous contrast and how it works in case of printed test cards, was examined. The research was conducted using twelve test cards. Test cards were made up of a primary stimulus colored in cyan, magenta, and yellow color, which was applied to four different achromatic backgrounds. Using the measurements, color difference of real and perceived value of color has been expressed through numbers using math.
