Abstract

Abstract in english: | Monitor resolution is measured by the total number of picture elements or pixels that can be displayed on a particular screen. The higer number of pixels, the higher the quality of the display or image. In 2011, Apple, a multinational company that produces high quality computers, presented a new version of the iPhone 4, which is made with Retina display. Retina screen contains over 120 picture elements in centimeters, although 100 pixel per centimeter is enough for the human eye. This feature gives the impression of a perfectly sharp image, almost like the printed content. All similar predecessors with a large number of pixels on the screen are difficult to maintain the battery, and operate the device. Apple has improved this technology and applied it to four of its devices, but not on desktops. This step has to be welcomed. This paper looks closely how the Retina display work's, what are the differences from the previous units and that it's faults. While it may be imperfect, Apple's new Retina display is certainly a revolutionary technology. |
