Abstract

Riječ grafika dolazi od grčke riječi „grafein“ što u prijevodu znači pisati, urezivati. Grafika je grana likovne umjetnosti, a ujedno općeniti naziv za postupak i rezultat korištenja neke od grafičkih tehnika pri izradi umjetničkog djela, koje se mogu opisati kao umnožavanje crteža putem matrice. Grafičke tehnike su posredne umjetničke tehnike; ne nastaju direktnim potezom po plohi kao crtež, nego crtežom koji se urezuje ili jetka u neku ploču. Gotove ploče, matrice, premazuju se bojom i tiskaju na papir. Ovisno o vrsti grafičke tehnike, crtež se dobiva otiskivanjem boje koja je ušla u utore urezivanja (duboki tisak), ploha koje nisu urezane (visoki tisak) ili ploha koje privlače masnu tiskarsku boju (plošni tisak). U grafičkim tehnikama jedna matrica se koristi za umnožavanje, odnosno za izradu više primjeraka, te se svaki grafički otisak s originalne matrice smatra originalom, pa ga umjetnici potpisuju uz oznaku rednog broja tiraža.

Abstract in english:	Word graphics comes from the Greek word “grafein”which means to write, to engrave. The graphics are a branch of art, and also a general term for the process and result of using some of the graphic techniques in the preparation of artwork, which can be described as a reproduction of drawings by the matrix. Graphic art techniques are indirect techniques; they don't arise directly applying strokes on the surface as a drawing rather than drawing which the engraving or etching for in a panel. Finished plate, matrix, coated with ink and printed on paper. Depending on the type of graphic art, drawing is obtained by placing the color that has entered the scoring grooves (intaglio), surfaces that are not engraved (high press) or a surface that attracts greasy printing color (flat printing). In graphic techniques matrix are used for reproduction or for making multiple copies and each graphic print of the original matrices is considered original, so artists are signing each print with the number of the circulation.
