Abstract

Abstract in english: | Digital photo processing brought new possibilities and simplified the old ones. That is why the expression “digital darkroom” is often used for digital processing, although digital photo lab (Photoshop) would be more appropriate. One of the simplifications is converting color photographs into black and white ones. Classic black and white photograph is still considered to be a photography media of greatest durability. With the appearance of CIS (Continuous Inking System) the quality of printing technology has come very close to the quality of classic black and white photograph. Recently a complex intervention in printer structure has become unnecessary because HP presented the first system of printing black and white photographs directly from desk printer. Therefore, the black and white digital photography makes more and more sense. The combination of new printers with the power of digital photo processing in Adobe Photoshop and the potential of new digital cameras is needed in order to get the best black and white print possible. An optimal black and white digital photography cannot be created with a simple click of the shutter and pressing the print button. There are important features that need to be kept in mind in order to gain high quality of black and white photography. |
