Abstract

Abstract in english: | In the final paper, a survey of different natural dyes extracted from various plant materials was made, in order to determine which method has a higher efficiency. The methods that were used were extraction by magnetic stirring and ultrasound extraction. Also, light fastness of dyes to ultraviolet radiation was tested, because some studies conducted so far have shown that natural dyes are generally unstable to UV. In the theoretical part of the paper natural dyes will be explained, their formation and physicochemical properties, and in the experimental section, a description of laboratory method for making dyes from the fruit of beetroot, peas and lemon, the optical properties of the obtained dyes and their UV stability. It was found that the higher yield of the pigment was obtained at ultrasound extraction, than the extraction of magnetic stirring. Dyes that were more exposed to ultraviolet radiation have not changed optical properties, or changes are minimal, suggesting that certain natural dyes are actually UV stable. |
