Abstract

Abstract in english: | Time-lapse photography is a technique of shooting scenes that are slowly changing at specified time intervals. Combining these photos into a video with much higher speed can get the whole scene in a certain time. HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a set of methods that are being used when capturing and processing images in order to enable greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of the image. In the theoretical part of the work, we will discuss HDR photography, its history, strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, time-lapse photography will be presented, its production, the necessary equipment and where it can be applied. My thesis will also cover work of some Croatian photographers who use time-lapse recording. In the experimental part of the thesis HDR time-lapse video will be composed using these two techniques. Furthermore, the process of making time-lapse photography will be discussed as well as video equipment that has been used and eventually taking ordinary photos and taking HDR will be differentiated, e.g. ordinary video and video made with HDR photos. The theme of the video will be the city of Zagreb, were HDR images will be shown taken with DSLR camera showing different Zagreb's locations. |
