Abstract

Abstract in english: | Today's Inkjet printing technology allows commercial printing from one copy to several thousands of copies. This is greatly affected by a single parameter, the size of the printhead. MEMS Inkjet technology enables the installation of a large number of nozzles in the printhead that provides larger print width and higher productivity. The aim was to investigate whether the modular stacking of smaller heads into a larger has influence on the future quality of inkjet prints and whether any anomalies arise on the print. In this paper it was tested how the multiplication of printheads affects the quality of colour reproduction. Tested prints were printed on two Durst's UV inkjet printers: the model Rho 512 and model Omega 2. Two types of inkjet color were used: UV Inkjet color (Rho Roll) and UV LED color (Omega Ink). Offset print was used in the experiment as a reference. Obtained colorimetric prints were measured with a spectrophotometer X-Rite eXact and using the Leica DM 2500. The system for image analysis Personal IAS was used to measure the circularity, the diameter of the raster dots, beginning and ending blur, line width and the distribution of printed raster dots. Smaller printheads can achieve prints with higher quality. These prints are sharper, have less satellite droplets and the diameter of the screen elements is smaller. The best image quality is achieved on the machine Durst Omega 2 in yellow where there is the greatest oscillation in the size of screen elements in relation to the Durst Rho 512 (d Omega-Rho_30 RTV = 40.18%). |
