Abstract

Abstract in english: | The invention of photography and its widespread use made it possible for general public to enjoy the new technique of imaging as early as around 1830. Photography has always been known for its speed, accurate reproduction and possibility of multiplication. Through constant development and improvement of processes and techniques used, it has been brought into digital form and further integrated into everyday mobile phones. Today, every mobile phone produced is equipped with a camera, which makes it a powerful tool and an easily accessible medium. With the developement of mobile phones with cameras that feature enormously large sensors and resolution, combined with the increasing popularity of online photo services and social networks, mobile photography has assumed dominance in the development of photography and has now become the most commonly encountered form of art. We can use photography to show the world and life around us, to convey a message or express a thought, which would make it rather unfair to place mobile photography under a single label such as selfies, as many critics do. How can a photographer express what they have experienced, the decisive moment in which an action unveils its deeper meaning, or a human face reveals the person's character? The decision is left to the artistic gift of the photographer, instead of the technical process, even though it's the way a photograph is created. This paper will deal with this specific issue of mobile photography, and the level of creating expression and beauty in a work of art. |
