Abstract

Abstract in english: Industrial grown hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is an annual plant of the family of mulberry trees (Moraceae) from which we can produce a large number of products, both in the textile and food as well as in the paper industry. As a raw material for the production of paper, hemp has been used since the beginning of the paper. For exploitation hemp is ready in a short time of cultivation. i.e., after about 120 days, in contrast to wood whose period from cultivation to exploitation is counting in years. Increasing exploitation of forests and their extinction are increasing the using of fibers from annual plants, as well as the need for renewable and sustainable sources, especially in the countries poor with forests. The aim of this study is to analyze the chemical stability of prints to water, alcohol and lye in relation to the percentage of hemp fibers in the printing substrate. Tests were made on the three types of paper with different percentages of hemp fiber. After testing chemical stability, the quality of the prints are defined by the Euclidean coloring differences (ΔE*) and changes in spectrophotometric values, L* a* b*.
