Abstract

Development of technologies and photographic processes of the 20th century contributed to the acceptance of photography as a visual medium and a useful tool in journalistic work that remains as a standard even today. Following the best-known documentary photographers through that period and analysing their impact on culture, leads to the combination of art, photographic technology and journalism that changed the way we look at the past.
