Abstract
Ideja završnog rada je projektirati volumen lica osobe pomoću tipografje te pra- ćenje crta lica tipografjom. Teorijski dio završnog rada sastoji se od analize raznih pismovnih rezova i analize dosadašnjih istraživanja tipografje na portretima. Eksperimentalnim radom cilj je projektirati volumen lica i same crte lica pojedine osobe, korištenjem isključivo tipografje. Uporište konceptualnog rada nalazi se u tekstovima pjesama koje za autora imaju posebno značenje i moguću primjenu u dizajnu za omote nosača zvuka. Praktični dio se sastoji od fotografranja određenih osoba čije je portret baza za kasniji rad. Naglasak je na odabiru tipografje koja svojim izgledom opisuje crte lica portretiranih osoba, karakter i njihovu osobnost stavlja u prvi plan. Korištenjem tehnike “displacement mappinga” postignuta je simulacija volumena lica na dvodimenzionalnoj grafci te spojem tipografje i fotografje stvoren je novi medij vizualne komunikacije.

| Abstract in english: | The main goal of this paper is to construct the illusion of volume of a persons face, by using only typography. The paper discusses the history of a typography, its division, analysis of certain categories of typography and analysis of previous artworks that use typography as the part of portrait. Experimental part of this work consists of portrait photography and later on recreating the same portraits by using only typography that shares visual link with persons face lines. Use of the same typography that shares visual connection with persons face construction, artwork puts personage and personality into foreground. Using the technique of displacement mapping, illusion of volume on 2D graphics is accomplished and by using the compound of typography and photography new media of visual communication is made. |
