Abstract

U diplomskom radu proučava se utjecaj osnovnih elemenata dizajna poput boje, ikona i teksta na korisničko iskustvo. Svrha rada je utvrditi kako odabirom osnovnih elemenata dizajna možemo utjecati na poboljšanje korisničkog iskustva te cjelokupan vizualni dojam. U radu je prikazana teorijska obrada pojmova vezanih uz korisnički doživljaj i elemente dizajna mobilnih aplikacija. Kod eksperimentalnog dijela, stavljen je fokus na proces izrade kvalitetnog dizajna aplikacije za praćenje fizičkih aktivnosti. Proces obuhvaća istraživanje, analizu konkurencije, kreiranje persona, izradu papirnatog prototipa te u konačnici i samog prototipa dizajna aplikacije. Nakon toga je izrađena i druga inačica dizajna, modifikacijom prve. U drugoj inačici su ikone zamijenjene tekstom, a boje su reducirane. Primjeri iz obje inačice poslužili su kako bi se ispitalo korisničko iskustvo. Ispitivanje korisničkog iskustva provedeno je subjektivnim A/B testiranjem pomoću online Google upitnika.

Abstract in english: In this master thesis, a study on the impact of basic design elements on user experience, such as colors, icons and text, is presented. The purpose of this study is to determine how the choice of basic design elements can influence the improvement of the user experience and the overall visual impression. The thesis presents a theoretical elaboration of terms related to the user experience and the design elements of mobile applications. In the experimental part, special emphasis is put on the process of making a prototype of a design application for activity tracking. The process involves research, competition analysis, creating a user persona, making a paper prototype of the design, wireframe making and a complete design prototype of the application. Beside creating one design prototype of the application, another version of the design prototype is made by modifying the first one. In the second version, the icons are replaced by text and the colors are reduced. Examples from both versions are used to test the user experience. User experience testing is conducted by subjective A/B testing using the online Google Forms.
