Abstract

Abstract in english: | This paper explores the application of the parallax effect on two different media, illustration and photography. It will be explained what parallax is, how the human eye perceives space and the application of parallax in everyday life, as will also be explained through historical review why there was a need to show space in animated content, various ways it was tried to be achieved and who was behind the first use of the parallax effect. Division of the technique of animation of the parallax effect was made into three subtypes. They differ in approaching the layout of the layers and scene objects, as well as the way the camera moves. It is also explained in which ways using additional effects and techniques can accentuate the spatiality and the effect of the parallax itself. In the practical part, in the example of illustration and photography, the effect of the parallax is applied by animating two-dimensional layers in a three-dimensional space. The production process is described in detail from idea to realization. There is a series of three illustrations that handle the same topic and are presented as GIF animations. The photos are displayed in a form of photo essay with accompanying audio content. After practical implementation, similarities are discussed where it is concluded that most of the process for obtaining the parallax effect for illustration and photography is analogous. Variations in animation are encountered in preparation, an example of this may be the layering of layers in a photo. Nevertheless, the greater complexity is found in the illustration in the process of drawing. The conclusion is that with today's technology and the human need for unconventional content, the application of the parallax effect has a solid foundation for more frequent use in a variety of media content, both from a creative and practical point of view. |
