Abstract
Kako fotografijom prikazati ples?

Abstract in english: | How to use photography to express dance? How to show the impression of dynamism and fluidity of dance on a two-dimensional static medium? These are some of the issues this paper addresses. In the theoretical part of the paper, dance photography is treated as a specific branch of photography and some works of famous dance photographers are analysed. There is a detailed description of technical aspects for the shooting itself, which are related to shutter speed, exposure and lighting. The practical part of the paper is an exploration on how to achieve the impression of movement in photographs by using; appropriate settings on camera; lighting; certain recording accessories; different environments; post-processing procedures. The photography process was guided by the guidelines of professional dance photographers, that was obtained by prior research of existing works of artists and their systematisation according to location, composition, technique, model, etc. There’s a series of photographs of dancers shot by using different props to allow a better result. A systematisation of photographs of previously researched authors by elements that affect the display of movement was developed. The interview method examined which of the methods best achieves the impression of the dance movement. |
