Abstract
Diplomski rad opisuje i analizira mogućnosti akcijske kamere GoPro (model GoPro HERO5 Black) u funkciji fotografskog aparata. Teorijski dio rada iznosi povijesni pregled i razvoj akcijskih kamera općenito, pa tako i GoPro kamere. Sagledavaju se nove mogućnosti snimanja uslijed pojave akcijskih kamera. Navode se modeli GoPro kamera i njihove specifikacije. Analiziraju se prednosti i nedostaci GoPro kamere u funkciji fotografskog aparata, te se GoPro kamera uspoređuje s DSLR fotografskim aparatom. U radu se, iako se radi o akcijskoj kameri primarno namijenjenoj za snimanje videa, naglasak stavlja na fotografiju te se u eksperimentalnom dijelu analiziraju isključivo fotografije snimane GoPro kamerom. Iznesena teorija primjenjuje se na konkretnim primjerima prikazivanjem serije fotografija snimljenih GoPro kamerom, kroz formu narativnog foto eseja snimljenog u siječnju 2020. godine prilikom putovanja u Jordan, kako bi se uvidjele mogućnosti akcijske kamere u službi fotografskog aparata.

| Abstract in english: | The master thesis examines and analyses the possibilities of the GoPro action camera (specifically, the GoPro HERO5 Black model) used as a photo camera. The theoretical part of the thesis brings an overview of the history and the development of action cameras in general and the GoPro camera in particular. The new possibilities brought forth by the emergence of action cameras are considered. The different models of the GoPro action camera are listed, along with their specifications. The advantages and disadvantages of the GoPro camera when used as a photo camera are analysed and the GoPro camera is compared to the classic DSLR photo camera. Even though the GoPro action camera's primary use is filming videos, the thesis emphasises the photographic aspect and thus, what is analysed in the practical part of the thesis are the photographs taken with a GoPro camera. The theory is applied through the form of a narrative photographic essay, showing a series of photographs taken by the GoPro HERO5 Black camera in January 2020 during a trip to Jordan, as to realise the possibilities an action camera offers when used as a photo camera. |
