Abstract

Abstract in english: | The paper will describe various psychophysical visual effects such as crispening effect and simultaneous contrast in a graphic context, as well as others. Crispening is a psychophysical visual effect in which there is a shift in the relative perception of color attributes between two stimuli due to similar background color, while simultaneous contrast is a psychophysical effect in which there is a shift in color appearance of the primary stimulus depending on background color change. In the theoretical part of this thesis, psychophysics, psychophysical visual effects, their examples and application will be described in general, and the crispening effect as well as simultaneous contrast will be explained in more detail. The statistical methods to be used in the experimental part of this paper will be defined and listed. In addition, statistical tests will be described in detail to determine the existence of statistically significant differences in the intensity of the crispening effect and simultaneous contrast. Also, an experimental method will be described by which the comparison of these two effects will be performed. In the experimental part of the paper, the crispening effect as well as simultaneous contrast on previously made original test samples will be examined. The test samples will contain different variations of these two effects depending on the geometric shape of the samples and their color. The intensities of the mentioned effects will be examined and compared with each other, and it will be determined whether there are statistically significant differences in the intensity of these effects. |
