Abstract
Ovim radom nastoji se objasniti vizualna narativnost naslovnica fikcijskih knjiga. Analizom dizajna naslovnica može se djelovati na marketing i prodaju knjiga te otkriti koji vizualni elementi utječu na presudnu čitateljevu percepciju djela. Dodatnom analizom fotografije, tipografije, ilustracije i boje, može se objasniti stvaranje kompozicijski smislenog dizajna, a pri tom opisati sadržaj i dojam knjige te žanr. Cilj ovog rada je istraživanje elemenata koji definiraju svaki žanr i kako se naslovnicom dočarava sadržaj djela. Redizajnom omota odabrane knjige provodi se praktična primjena načela navedenih u teorijskom dijelu, a očekivani rezultati odabrane teme opisuju razumijevanje motiva karakterističnih za svaki žanr te uspješnu primjenu vizualnih elemenata koji se koriste.

| Abstract in english: | This paper seeks to explain the visual narrative of the fictional book covers. By analyzing the impact of cover design, one can influence the marketing and sales of books and discover which visual elements create influence the reader's perception of the literature. Additional analysis of photography, typography, illustration and color can explain the creation of a compositionally meaningful design, while describing the content, feel of the book and the genre. The aim of this paper is to explore the elements that define each genre and how the content of the work is conveyed by the cover. By redesigning the cover of the selected book, the practical application of the principles stated in the theoretical part is carried out, and the expected results of the selected topic and the expected results of the selected topic describe the understanding of motifs characteristic of each genre and the successful application of used visual elements. |
