Abstract

Stvaranje vizualnog identiteta u glazbenoj industriji nije nimalo lako. Kako se ovaj rad bazira na naslovnicama albuma, vrlo je važan odabir boje, tipografije, forme i poruke iza dizajna. U kolaboraciji sa glazbenikom, vrlo je bitno da dizajner postavlja pitanja, a da glazbenik odgovara, i obratno, kako bi se ideja verbalizirala, te kako bi se njeno realiziranje odvijalo u valjanom pravcu. Predstavit ćemo osnovne segmente likovnih elemenata, sa fokusom na tipografiju i boju. Uz dizajniranje i redizajniranje u praktičnom dijelu, kroz povijesni pregled, i određene periode žanrova, analizirat ćemo evoluciju naslovnica, od Alex-a Steinnweiss-a, pa sve do primjera modernog umjetnika poput Kayne West-a.

Abstract in english: Creating visual identity in music industry is not an easy task. Because this paper is based on cd covers of albums, choice of color is very important, same as typography, form and message behind design. In collaboration of designer and artist, its really important to ask questions from both sides, so direction of the design is going in a right way. We are going to talk about most important elements of an art form, with a focus on typography and color. Besides designing and redesigning inside of practial part, through specific parts of music genres, and its history, we are going to analyse evolution of album covers, starting from Alex Steinweiss, all the way to prime example of a modern artist, such as Kayne West.
