Abstract

Zavisno o koncentraciji 2-propanola u otopini za vlaženje određivala su se njihova fizikalnokemijska svojstva kao što su električna provodnost, pH vrijednost, napetost površine, te kontaktni kut na slobodnim površinama tiskovnih formi za ofsetni tisak u novinskoj rotaciji. Upotrijebljeni su uzorci CtP tiskovnih formi na bazi Ag halogenida, koji nisu i koji su prošli proces tiska. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju da otopina za vlaženje povećanjem volumnog udjela 2-propanola smanjuje električnu provodnost i površinsku napetost. Proces vlaženja odvija se u blago kiselom mediju (pH vrijednost iznosi između 4.6 i 4.8), što ukazuje da su u otopinu dodane soli koje djeluju kao puferi. Dodatak 2-propanola neznatno je povećava. Kontaktni kut pri niskim koncentracijama 2-propanola u početku se povećava, da bi pri višim nakladama pokazao trend smanjenja. Pri visokim koncentracijama 2-propanola u otopinama za vlaženje kontaktni kut se značajno smanjuje. Optimalna koncentracija 2-propanola iznosila bi oko 8 do 10 vol%.

Abstract in english: In dependence of the concentration of the 2-propanol in the dampening solutions, their physicochemical properties, such as electrical conductivity, pH value, surface tension and contact angle on non-image areas of typographical form for newspaper offset print were estimated. Samples of the typographical form, based on a silver halide coating, that were not and were in printing process, were used. The obtained results show that by increase of the concentration of 2-propanol in the dampening solution, electrical conductivity and surface tension of dampening solution decreases. The dampening process accrues in mild acid medium (pH value is between 4.6 and 4.8), which points out that salts acting as buffers are added to the solution. Addition of 2-propanol slightly increases it. Contact angle is being increased at low concentrations of 2-propanol in the beginning, and as it reaches higher edition, it decreases. At high concentration of 2-propanol in the dampening solution, contact angle significantly decreases. Optimally concentration of 2-propanol in the dampening solution would be around 8 to 10 vol%.
