Abstract

Diplomski rad pod imenom HDR fotografija predstavlja novu tehniku kojoj je osnovni cilj postiči što veću fotorealnost određenih scena iz svakodnevnog života. Sama tehnika snimanja je dosta komplicirana za početnike i istini za volju još je u razvojnoj fazi. Rad je zato koncipiran tako da se preko povijesnih crtica o samom nastanku i razvoju tehnike uz objašnjenja o funkcioniranju ljudskog oka i načinu zabilježavanja svijetlosnih podražaja na različitim medijima sustavno objasni svaki segment nastanka jedne HDR fotografije. Svi ti podatci su zakruženi primjerima iz prakse i detaljno razrađenim koracima u nekoliko softvera za izradu HDR fotografija. Dakle, kao teorija je predstavljena nova tehnologija zabilježavanja scena “iz prirode” te su dati primjeri iz prakse razlika između konvencionalne i HDR fotografije, a sve u cilju da se kvalitetno uoče prednosti i nedostatci novih dostignuća u svijetu fotografije. Primjetit će se da je tehnika otišla dosta naprijed, a da su sistemi prikaza kao što su monitori ili isprinti ne prate. Kako bi tehnika ipak bila iskustveno vidljiva a ne samo brojčano mjerljiva (broj bitova ili nijansi srednjih tonova) koristi se tehnika naglašavanja i prilagodbe HDR fotografije današnjim izlaznim jedinicama, što za posljedicu daje zbunjujuću situaciju gdje su svi primjeri gotovih fotografija u stvarnosti HDRovi pretvoreni u “obićne” fotografije jer se drugačije ne mogu prikazati. Ova tehnika traži da je se prepozna kao budućnost fotografije ali i mnogo strpljenja jer pred njom je još uvijek dug razvojni put kako same tehnike tako i sistema prikaza u svakodnevnom životu.

Abstract in english: The graduation thesis called HDR photography represents a new technique which has an aim to achieve the biggest photoreality of the certain scenes from everyday life. The technique of recording itself is quite complicated for the beginners and to tell the truth it is stilli in the phase of development. The thesis is conceived in a way to explain systematically each segment of producing an HDR photography by using hystorical data about the beginning and development of the technique and with explanations about functioning of the human eye and the way of recording the light stimulus on different media. All these data are encircled with practice examples and worked out thoroughly in several softwares for creating HDR photographies. A new technology of recording the scenes „from nature“ is represented as the theory and the practice examples of differences between conventional and HDR photography are given with the aim of observing advantages and disadvantages of the new achievements in the world of photography. You will notice that the technique developed but this development is not followed with the development of display systems like monitors and prints. In order to experience technique in live and not just to measure it in numbers (the number of bits and shades of middle colours) we use the technique of accentuating and adjusting the HDR photographies to today’s exit units. The consequence is the confusing situation where all examples of made photographies are in reality HDR-s turned into ordinary photographies since they cannot be shown differently. This technique should be recognized as the future of photography but it also requires patience becuse the technique itself and display systems have to be developed further in everyday life.
