Abstract

Abstract in english: Digital media are increasingly taking precedence over printed media and are becoming increasingly popular with users. Print media, such as books, magazines and newspapers, are currently still represented but notice a drop in their quality, popularity and price. The development of new devices, such as e-readers, tablets and smartphones, enhances the distribution of digital media. Digitizing the contents of the book changed almost every aspect of creating the book, starting with the basic format of the book, the nature of authorship, ownership, readers and business models in publishing. Journals are increasingly turning to digital editions in which combines the basics of the printed magazine with new media. E-newspapers are definitely the future of newspapers and magazines because with the younger generation who grew up on the new technologies the printed newspapers will not have a long-term future. The survey was conducted by interviewing with the aim to show the current status of the use of digital and print media with people from the graphic profession and people beyond. Based on the results of attempts to predict the current state of development of the acceptance of digital versus print media, use of print and digital media, and their thinking about the future of these subjects.
