Abstract

Rad se bavi istraživanjem primjene računalno generirane holografije visoke rezolucije i kvalitete na fotorealističnim 3D ljudima nastalim korištenjem 3D grafičkih alata. Izrada 3D ljudi predstavlja izazov zbog tehničke kompleksnosti i procesorske zahtjevnosti, dok računalno generiranje holograma spada u područje najzahtjevnijih numeričkih simulacija svjetlosti. U radu se definiraju fotorealistični 3D ljudi pomoću naprednih tehnologija modeliranja, teksturiranja i animiranja, te se tako radi priprema za postupak generiranja holograma koji se zasniva na raytracing tehnologiji praćenja svjetlosti, što osigurava paralelno izvođenje generiranja na velikom broju procesora i predstavlja bitnu stavku u brzini izračuna. Samo generiranje holograma oslanja se na brojne optimizacije i primjenu naprednih algoritama kako bi se vrijeme generiranja holograma smanjilo na prihvatljivu razinu i osigurala kvaliteta holograma. U radu se također koriste najmodernije 3D grafičke tehnologije za stvaranje fotorealističnih ljudi, što u kombinaciji sa visokom razinom kvalitete generiranih holograma predstavlja značajan napredak na području računalno generirane holografije.

Abstract in english: The paper examines the creation of high resolution, high quality computer generated holography of photorealistic 3D humans created using 3D graphics tools. Creating 3D people is a challenge because of the technical complexity and computational requirements, while computer generation of holograms is one of the most demanding field of numerical light simulation. The paper defines photorealistic 3D humans using advanced modeling, texturing and animation technology and prepares them for the process of generating holograms based on raytracing light propagation technology, which provides parallel execution on large number of processors and represents an important step towards fast generation of holograms. The process of generating holograms relies on numerous optimizations and application of advanced algorithms to reduce the computation time down to acceptable level and ensure the quality of the hologram. The paper also uses the latest 3D graphics technology to create photorealistic humans, which combined with a high quality of generated holograms represents a significant advancement in the field of computer generated holography.
