Abstract

Jedan je od najvećih predstavnika renesanse. Učio je crtanje u radionici nurnberškoga slikara M. Wolgemota gdje je boravio 4 godine, a 1495. prvi put odlazi u Italiju i kopira talijanske majstore. Ujedinio je talijansku ranu renesansu s ekspresivnim stilom njemačkog reformatorskog doba te došao do novih oblika izražavanja. Posezao je mitologijskim, alegoričnim u religioznim temama ali se bavio i prirodom. Njegovi akvareli krajolika, studije biljaka i životinja svjedoci su njegovog dubokog razumijevanja prirode. U radionici svojeg oca obučen za zlatara Dürer je do vrhunca razvio drvorez i bakrorez te svojim grafikama odlučujuće utjecao na populariziranje reformatora i humanista. Kao prvi njemački umjetnik posvetio se teoriji umjetnosti te između ostalog napisao temelje znanosti o proporcijama. Nakon povratka u Nürnberg otvara radionicu i izvodi oltarne slike i portrete, prve bakroreze i niz drvoreza "Apokalipsa" i "Velika muka". Nakon povratka s drugog putovanja u Italiju nastaju njegovi najvredniji bakrorezi "Vitez", "Đavo i smrt" i "Melankolija" i "Sveti Jeronim u ćeliji". U posljednjoj fazi naslikao je svoj najbolji "Autoportret" i "Četiri apostola", te pisao traktate o slikarstvu. Njegovo ukupno djelo obuhvaća 70 slika, 900 crteža, 100 bakroreza i 350 drvoreza.

Abstract in english: He was one of the greatest representatives of the Renaissance. He studied drawing in the workshop of the nurnberg painter M. Wolgemota where he stayed four years, and the 1495th the first time he went to Italy and copied the Italian masters. He united early Italian Renaissance style with expressive German reformatory era and came to the new forms of expression. Reaching the mythological, allegorical in religious themes, but dealt also with the nature. His watercolor landscapes, studies of plants and animals are witnesses a profound understanding of nature. In the workshop of his father studied for the jeweller, Dürer was developed to a climax etching and woodcut, and with his prints had decisive influence on the popularization of reformers and humanists. As the first german artist he devoted to the theory of art, aand among other things he wrote the foundation of the science of proportions. After returning to Nürnberg opened a workshop and performs altarpieces and portraits, the first plate and a series of woodcuts "Apocalypse" and "Grand Passion". After returning from second trip to Italy created its most valuable plates "Knight," "The Devil and Death", "Melancholy" and "Saint Jerome in his cell." In the final phase he painted his best "Selfportrait" and "Four Apostles", and wrote treatises on painting. His work covers a total of 70 paintings, 900 drawings, 100 etchings and 350 woodcuts.
