Abstract

Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je istraživanje izrade programskog modula za računanje relativne udaljenosti ovisno o trenutnom položaju korisnika u odnosu na lokaciju restorana studentske prehrane te pohranu podataka preko XML-a za nativnu Android društveno korisnu aplikaciju. Potrebno je dokazati prednosti XML zapisa podataka u odnosu na MySQL, obzirom da će modul biti rađen za nativnu Android mobilnu platformu, te prilagoditi Google aplikacijsko programsko sučelje (engl. Application Programming Interface - API) za potrebe diplomskog rada (računanje relativne udaljenosti i označavanje pojedinih subjekata ovisno o trenutnom položaju korisnika). Nakon toga ispitat će se optimalan broj XML datoteka koji ovisi o količini pohranjenih podataka u relacionoj bazi podataka (količina podataka ovisi o dostupnosti aplikacije na različitim jezicima). Zatim će se dokazati prednost responzivnog web dizajna informativne stranice ovisno o ciljanoj skupini i kontekstu komuniciranja današnjice. Implementirat će se pomoću HTML5 arhitekture informacija te CSS3 atributa i media queriesa zaslužnog za "čistu" responzivnost bez JavaScripta ili jQuery biblioteka.

Abstract in english: The topic of this thesis is a research of developing programming module for calculating relative distance between user and the student's canteens, according to user current location; and research of data storage with XML for socially useful native Android application. Task is to prove advantage of XML data storage compared to MySQL, regard to module for native Android mobile platform; and to modify Google API for the purpose of this thesis (calculating relative distance between user and the student's canteens, according to user current location). Next task is to test the optimal number of XML files which depends on quantity of storaged data into relational database (the quantity depends on upgrading application for several languages). Later on, task is to prove advantages of responsive web design of landing page regard to target audience and new context of communicating. With HTML5 architecture of information and CSS3 attributes with media queries, "clear" responsiveness can be implemented without any use of JavaScript or jQuery librarys.
