Abstract

Težište ovog rada usmjereno je kako bi se razjasnili parametri vezani uz 3D animaciju, a s obzirom na eksponencijalni razvoj iste posljednjih dva desetljeća. U ovom radu istražene su ovisnosti broja poligona, prisutnosti tekstura i kvalitete efekata na brzinu renderiranja animacije. Od istraženih varijabli, broj poligona i prisutnost tekstura imali su utjecaj na konačnu brzinu renderiranja no taj je utjecaj zanemarivo mali. Zbog toga su se u istraživanju samo mijenjale vrijednosti efekata, koji su znatno utjecali na brzinu renderiranja. Ispitanici su potvrdili da je moguće smanjiti vrijednosti pojedinih varijabli da bi se ostvarila brža vremena renderiranja i to bez vidljivog gubitka kvalitete. S time se vrijeme potrebno za izradu filmova može smanjiti zajedno s potrebnim troškovima koji se trebaju uložiti.

Abstract in english: The point of this thesis is to clear up the parameters related to 3D animation, considering its exponentional development in the last twenty years. In this thesis it is researched how number of polygons, absence of textures, and quality of effects influence the speed of animation rendering. Among the researched variables, number of polygons and absence of tekstures have negligible influence on render times, so they are ruled out. Due to previous research, only the quality of effects is taken as a parameter for controlling the overall quality of animation, because they have significant impact on render times. It was confirmed by the questionnaire that it is possible to lower the values of parameters to increase the render speed without visible loss of quality. This means that the time required for post production can be shortened, with less money spent.
