Abstract

U ovom radu obrađuje se utjecaj Gray Component Replacement (GCR) metode na kvalitetu ispisa. Miješanjem CMY boja prilikom otiskivanja ili ispisa ne dobivamo idealnu crnu boju, već tamnosmeđu. Zbog toga se u procesima otiskivanja i ispisa kao četvrta boja dodaje crna boja. Ta mana suptraktivne sinteze, odnosno prisustvo četvrte K boje otvara mogućnost da se miješana „crna“ zamjeni u određenom postotku s čistom crnom. Dakle, riječ je o metodi koja zamjenjuje određeni udio CMY s određenim udjelom crne boje (K) kako bi se stvorio točan doživljaj boje s manje šarenog bojila. Pri tome se javljaju određeni problemi koji su objašnjeni u radu. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada opisano je provedeno istraživanje koje je za cilj imalo utvrditi utjecaj primjene GCR metode na kvalitetu ispisa te udjele zamjene kromatskih komponenti akromatskom koji daju prihvatljive rezultate u promatranom procesu. Postavljaju se hipoteze da je kolorimetrijska odstupanja boja prije i poslije primijenjenog GCR-a moguće smanjiti upotrebom točnog modela na domeni kolorimetrijskih gustoća što posljedično dovodi i do smanjenja šuma na reproduciranim slikama.

Abstract in english: This master's thesis analyzes the influence of Gray Component Replacement (GCR) method on print quality. By mixing equal amounts of CMY inks colors in printing or prints do not result with ideal black color, but dark brown. Therefore, in the printing process the fourth, black ink is added. This flaw of the subtractive synthesis, and the presence of fourth K ink opens up the possibility of replacing a certain percentage of mixed „black“ with pure black . So, it is a method that replaces a certain share of CMY with some portion of black (K) to create the exact experience of color with smaller amount of colorful inks. There are some particular problems in this process which are explained in the thesis. The experimental part of this thesis describes the conducted research which aimed to determine the impact of GCR method on print quality and the proportion of GCR replacement yielding acceptable results in the observed process. The hypotheses that the colorimetric color deviations between samples before and after applied GCR can be reduced by the use of accurate models in the colorimetric density domain which consequently leads to noise reduction in reproduced images.
