Abstract

Kolorimetrijske karakateristike digitalnih tehnika tiska utvrđene u dužem vremenskom razdoblju značajne su kod utvrđivanja broja boja koje je moguće otisnuti CMYK sustavom otiskivanja i takve definirane vrijednosti smatraju se danas općim prihvaćenim standardima tiska. Dosadašnjim spoznajama je ustanovljeno da se javljaju problemi u kvaliteti tiska. U neposrednoj primjeni digitalnog tiska pojavljuju se u graničnom području reprodukcije boja, odnosno njihovih kolorimetrijskih karakteristika. Problem predstavlja konverzija boja iz RGB u CMYK sustav boja. U ovom radu istraživat će se kolorimetrijske karakteristike graničnih područja reprodukcije boja digitalnih tehnika tiska gdje dolazi do značajnih promjena prilikom konverzije boja, a samim time i do smanjenja kvalitete tiska. Razlog smanjenju kvalitete jest što prilikom otiskivanja dolazi do reprodukcije manje zasićenih boja negoli se očekuje, ali i područja gdje su promjene nezamjetne – pa čak i kada promjene mogu dovesti i do povećanja kvalitete tiska tako da se na otisku dobiju boje koje nije moguće dobiti na monitoru. Analiza dobivenih rezultata omogućit će potpunije razumijevanje mogućnosti graničnih područja digitalnih tehnika tiska s obzirom na utvrđene kolorimetrijske karakteristike, koje će u konačnici rezultirati preporukama novih standarda kvalitete tiska.

Abstract in english: Colorimetric characteristics of digital printing techniques established during a longer period of time are of significance in the establishment of the number of colors that it is possible to print using the CMYK printing system, and such defined values are today considered to be generally accepted printing standards. Through previous knowledge it has been established that problems in printing quality appear, which in the immediate application of digital printing appear in the border area of color reproduction, i.e. their colorimetric characteristics, especially in the color conversion from RGB to CMYK system. This paper will research the colorimetric characteristics of the border area of reproduction colors in digital printing techniques, where significant changes occur during color conversion, and by it also the decrease in printing quality in the way that, during printing, reproduction of less saturated colors than expected occurs. The research will also focus on the areas where changes are imperceptible even when changes can lead to the increase in printing quality in a way that the colors achieved on the imprint cannot be achieved in RGB colors. The analysis of the received results will allow a more complete understanding of the possibilities of the border areas of digital printing techniques considering the established colorimetric characteristics that will, in the end, result in the recommendations for the new standards of printing quality.
