Abstract

Abstract in english: The practical separation of mechanical and optical dot gain is still not fully achieved, which is caused by the lack of knowledge of physical foundations that govern the components of dot gain. Since the coexistence of optical and mechanical dot gain is inevitable, most of the proposed models are based on the determination of the total dot gain. This dissertation will propose a model of separation of components of dot gain using gradient method, where the impact of various printing techniques, types and grammages of paper, and dimensions (line widths) printed on the element components of dot gain will be examined. Knowing the distribution of dyes without the effect of optical gain will enable modeling of all steps of the production process which will ultimately lead to the optimization of the printing process.
