Abstract

Abstract in english: Responsive web design (acronym: RWD) is a modern approach to web page developing. Responsive web design pages adapt automatically to the device the user is browsing from, it adapts to the device platform, size and orientation of the device. The point of using responsive web design while developing pages is to give the best user experience to the page users, especially the ones who use smartphones and tablets to visit the page, which are in growth. Responsive web design influences users and provides quality user experience, leading the user to visit the site more. To develop a page that respects RWD rules, one should follow industry recommendations, but also use different web tools to facilitate the process. First step is to establish who are the target users of the page, by research and persona developing. After that, the web page developing begins, by planning and deciding on the content of the page, sketching on paper and computer, prototyping, chosing colours and typography and lastly, making a high fidelity prototype in a graphic editor like Photoshop or Illustrator. The result should be a functional web page that has different multimedia elements on it, created with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript programming languages, who serve to structure the page, it’s content and enable interaction on the page. This paper is trying to detect problems one can encounter while developing a RWD page and offers different solutions that solve those problems and help in developing optimal user experience.
