Abstract

U literaturi se organobentonit predlaže kao potencijalni sorbens za uklanjanje organskih polutanata u otpadnim vodama. Na osnovu činjenice da je organobentonit potrebno prethodno sintetizirati mehanizmom kationske zamjene izmjenjivih kationa bentonita s kationima surfaktanta, u radu je predložen postupak direktne sinteze organobentonita u otpadnoj vodi (heksadeciltrimetilamonijevim kationima) i sorpcije anionskog bojila (Fastusol orange 85 LD) na dobiveni organobentonit. Učinkovitosti uklanjanja bojila i kationa surfaktanta takvim postupkom veće su od 99%. U otpadnoj vodi kationski surfaktant direktno se "troši" za pripravu organobentonita a dobiveni organobentonit odmah je dostupan za sorpciju anionskog bojila. Ispitani jednostupanjski proces obrade bio bi jednostavan, učinkovit i jeftin postupak uklanjanja organskih polutanata iz otpadnih voda posebno iz proizvodnje papira, tekstila, bojila i pigmenata.

Abstract in english: In literature, organobentonite is recommended as a potential sorbens for the removal of organic pollutants from wastewaters. The organobentonite needs to be previously synthesized by cation exchange mechanism to replace exchangeable bentonite cations with surfactant cations. Therefore, the method of direct synthesis of organobentonite in wastewater (hexadecyltrimethylammonium cation) and the sorbtion of anionic dye (Fastusol orange 85 LD) onto obtained organobentonite is suggested in this work. The removal efficiency of anionic dye and surfactant cations with the use of this method is greater than 99%. In wastewater, cationic surfactant is directly 'wasted' for the preparation of organobentonite and obtained organobentonite is instantly available for sorbtion of anionic dye. The suggested single-stage process of treatment would be simple, efficient and economical procedure for the elimination of organic pollutants from wastewaters, especially from the production of paper, textiles, dyes and pigments.
