Abstract

Abstract in english: In the recent few years much attention has been focused on climate change and other environmental threats and more actions were made to reduce human influence on the acceleration of these changes. One of the tools to carry out awareness of the people who make decisions, which could reduce the environmental threat, is called Life Cycle Assessment. LCA, also known as the "life cycle analysis", "ecobalance" or "analysis from cradle to grave" is defined as a series of interrelated stages of products, from obtaining raw materials or the generation of resources to final disposal. The goal of LCA is to compare a range of environmental and social damage that is attributable to products and services, in order to be able to choose the system to obtain the desired product, and that the least burdensome environment. This work studies life cycles of polystyrene foam, bleached paperboard, and corrugated paperboard foodservice products.
