Abstract
Tošo Dabac jedan je od najvažnijih hrvatskih fotografa 20. stoljeća. Smatra se osnivačem Zagrebačke škole umjetničke fotografije, te nositeljem socijalnog smjera u fotografiji. Sudjelovao je u nizu izložbi u zemlji i inozemstvu u društvu tada najpriznatijih svjetskih fotografa. Glavni motiv njegovog cjelokupnog stvaralaštva bio je grad Zagreb. Tematika njegovih fotografija je interes za društvo i ljude, koji je potaknut osjetljivošću na društvena događanja. Snimao je život ulice, prosjake, ljude iz naroda, portrete, folklor, životinje, arhitekturu, kulturne spomenike i slično. Socijalna problematika vremena u kojem je živio jasno se odražava kroz njegove radove, čime je stekao kultni status među najvećim svjetskim fotografima. Kroz detaljnu analizu tehnike snimanja, sadržaja i forme fotografija, nastoje se utvrditi tehničke karakteristike Dabčeva načina stvaranja. Kako bi se istraživačkom projektu dao osobni pristup, fotografira se po uzoru na Dabca na temelju dobivenih zaključaka iz analize radova.

| Abstract in english: | Tošo Dabac is one of the most important Croatian photographers of the 20th century. He was the founder of the School of Art Photography in Zagreb and the leader in social themed photography. He has participated in many Croatian and international exhibitions, along with the world's most acclaimed photographers. The main focus of his entire work was the city of Zagreb. Main theme of his photography is interest in society and the people, caused by sensitivity to social happenings. He photographed street life, beggars, portraits, folklore, animals, architecture, monuments etc. The social issues of time in which he lived is clearly reflected in his work, which has gained cult status among the world's greatest photographers. A detailed analysis of his creating techniques, the content and form of photographs tries to identify the technical aspects of Dabac's lifework. Taking photographs based on Dabac's work and the conclusions drawn from the analysis of his works gives a more personal approach in this research. |
