Abstract

Abstract in english: | In this final work the significance of the product life cycle is described. Explains the purpose of the application in general and its application in graphic technology. Product life cycle follows the product from getting raw materials for the product, its production and use until the end of the life cycle when it comes to the product disposal or recycling. Such analysis can obtain information that could be used for the improvement of the observed process. Through the life cycle of each product, including graphic products, problems in production, environmental impact, utility of products are being watched, and higher quality is considered. Especially processed environmental impacts are: air emissions from the printing process and the impact on waste water. There are given strategies for prevention of enviromental disadvantage. In that process it attempts not to use the end of pipe technologies, but it goes through the life cycle because it is in the direction of sustainable development. Therefore, the objective of this final work considered graphics technology through the life cycle, and an example is given: life cycle of toner cartridges; comparation of original HP cartridges with three remanufactured cartridges. With the present application of the waste hierarchy to print cartridges remanufactured cartridges may appear to be environmentally preferable to OEM cartridges. However, this narrow perspective fails to account for the production impacts of remanufacturing and further ignores the additional waste and other environmental impacts that could be generated at other stages of the product life cycle, including resources that are wasted because of inefficient printing. Environmentally based decision-making regarding cartridges, whether original or remanufactured, should consider the cartridge’s entire life, and most importantly, take into account the service iprovides: reliable printing performance to produce usable pages. |
