Abstract

Vincent van Gogh ili punim imenom Vincent Willem van Gogh (30.ožujka 1853.g, Zundert – 29.srpnja 1890.g, Anvers-sur-Oise), bio je nizozemski slikar, grafičar i crtač. Bio je jedan od najvećih slikara postimpresionizma i preteča ekspresionizma. Unatoč tome, priznanje je stekao tek poslije smrti. Cijeli život bio mu je prožet nevoljama i neuspjesima, no ipak uspijeva iz svega izvući ono najbolje i slikati slike koje odišu životom. Koristio je boju kao nositelj života, liniju kao dinamiku života i kompoziciju kao mjesto za osjećaje. Ta tri elementa koristi na način na koji niti jedan umjetnik prije njega nije.

Abstract in english:	Vincent van Gogh or, with full name, Vincent Willem van Gogh (March 30th 1853.g, Zundert - July 29 1890.g, Anvers-sur-Oise) was a dutch painter, graphic and drawer. He was one of the greatest painter of postimpressionism and forerunner of expressionism. However, he gained recognition after he died. His whole life was impregnate with misfortunes and failures, but he manages to extract all the best and paint only pictures that reflects the life. He used color as a bearer of life, the line as a dynamics of life and composition as a place for feelings. These three elements he used in a way that no artist before him didn`t.
