Abstract

Slikovnica je prva djetetova knjiga u kojoj je priča upotpunjena, proširena i obogaćena ilustracijama ili ilustracije same "pričaju" priču. Ilustracija odreñuje slikovnicu i daje joj karakter. Vrlo je važno kakvu slikovnicu dijete čita. Djeci mlañe dobi primjerene su slikovnice s više slika, a manje teksta, dok starijima uz ilustracije treba i složenija radnja. Pritom je važno da se tekst i ilustracija meñusobno prožimaju i čine skladnu cjelinu. Dijete će u slikovnici dobiti odgovor na mnoga pitanja, koja si samo postavlja ili se njima obraća roditeljima, ali može dobiti i odgovor na probleme, kojih dosada nije bilo svjesno. Praktični dio rada sastoji se od objašnjenja kako je nastala ilustrirana slikovnica Madagascar. Slikovnica je namijenjena prvenstveno djeci starije predškolske dobi. Glavni likovi u slikovnici su četiri životinje, lav Alex, žirafa Melman, zebra Marty i nilski konj Gloria, koje su zatočene u gradskom zoološkom vrtu i planiraju bijeg. Konture likova i pozadine crtani su ručno rapidografom, zatim su skenirani i preneseni u Corel gdje su opcijom trace pretvorene u krivulje i plohe su obojene odgovarajućim bojama.

Abstract in english:	Baby's first picture book is a book in which the story is completed, extended and enriched with illustrations and where illustrations the same tell you the story. An illustration defines a picture book and gives it character. It is very important what kind of picture books children use. For the children under the age appropriate picture books are with more pictures and less text, while for the elderly will be illustrated with complex operation. It is important that the text and illustrations is in interaction and make a harmonious unity. The child will get in a picture book response to many questions they ask themselves or ask the parents, but picture book can get them the answer to the problems, which previously were not aware. The practical part of this work consists of explanations how illustrated picture book Madagascar was created. The picture book is primarily intended for children above preschool age. The main characters of the story are four animals, Alex the lion, Melman the giraffe, Marty the zebra, and Gloria the hippo, which are detained in the city zoo and planned to escape. Contours of cartoon characters and backgrounds are hand-drawn with rapidograf, then scanned and transferred to Corel, where they are with options “trace” converted to curves and surfaces are painted in determined colours.
