Abstract

Rad obuhvaća kratku povijest programskog jezika HTML5, njegovu ulogu u dizajnu web sadržaja te analizu najbitnijih elemenata i pojmova koji definiraju moderan pristup web dizajnu, a uže ili šire su vezani uz HTML5. Rad kroz praktične primjere evaluira kriterije uporabe te hedoničke kvalitete HTML5 specifikacije u usporedbi sa starijim standardima te direktnom usporedbom prikazuje njegove prednosti i mane. Rad objašnjava novosti koje novi standard donosi u sam proces kreiranja web sadržaja, kao i promjene koje se mogu zamijetiti od strane korisnika. U radu su posebno istaknute funkcionalnosti koje su zanimljive naročito dizajnerima, njihove mogućnosti, te se na temelju statističkih podataka i mišljenja eksperata predviđa budućnost tehnologije razvoja web sadržaja. Na bazi rezultata istraživanja donesen je zaključak kako je HTML5 standard superioran u odnosu na stare specifikacije istog jezika, i to u svim aspektima stvaranja i korištenja web sadržaja. Uvelike pojednostavnjuje proces kreiranja te smanjuje razinu potrebnog znanja, dok ujedno obogaćuje iskustvo novim mogućnostima. Ova specifikacija stvara opći standard koji će unijeti sklad među dizajnere i razvojne programere.

Abstract in english:	A thesis includes a brief history of programming language HTML5, its role in the design of web content and analyzes the most important elements and concepts that define the modern approach to web design, that are shorter or broader related to HTML5. Through practical examples paper evaluates usage criteria and hedonic qualities of HTML5 specification compared to earlier standards, and by direct comparison shows the advantages and disadvantages. Thesis explains the news that a new standard brings in the process of creating web content, as well as changes that may be noticed by users. This paper highlights HTML5 features that are interesting primarily for designers, and based on statistical data and expert opinion, predicts future development of Web technology. Based on the survey results passed to the conclusion that the HTML5 standard is superior to the old specification of the language in all aspects of creating and using web content. It greatly simplifies the creation process and reduces the required level of knowledge, while also enriching experience by new possibilities. This specification creates a common standard that will bring harmony among designers and developers.
