Abstract

Abstract in english: In the mid-fifties, fiction gradually asserted itself on both sides of the Atlantic. Cameramen were the first use the camera to achieve final visual effects, using special lenses and filters to alter the look of their recordings, sometimes beyond recognition. However, since the seventies they have begun to apply mainly printing techniques, and the results were often more than stunning. Such manipulation of images was first used by the English photographer of German origin - Bill Brandt. His photographic documentation was often used to convey a personal comment on social reality, modeled on the comments from the time of Victorian literature. American Jerry Uelsmann, along with his cheerful photographs, often used archetypal images of the subconscious in a random expression, creating images laden with psychological symbols. Joanne Leonard (1980s), used stunning visuals as autobiographical expression, and disturbing images of the late David Wojnarowicz and a photographic opus of Italian photographer Augusta De Luce marked images that are related to his photographic experimenting. The aim of this paper is to consolidate information about the authors, the techniques and forms of expression through the common denominator of stunning photos.
