Abstract
Sedmog siječnja 1839. godine Louis Daguerre predstavlja svoj novi fotografski postupak na „Francuskoj akademiji znanosti“, dagerotipiju, a usporedno s njim William Henry Fox Talbot predstavlja svoj postupak, kalotipiju.

Abstract in english: | On 7th of January 1839, Louis Daguerre presented his new photograpic procedure at „French Academy of Science“, daguerreotype. In the same time, William Henry Fox Talbot presents his own way of producing photographs to the public, kalotipy. Shortly after this two new findings, photography started to develop in a swift pace. Photographic cameras developed parallel with the procedures of making photographs, from camera obscura as far as today's digital cameras. Many discussions were led if photography is really an art or not, but there were those who belived in her true value. Start of 20th century was a real turn in photography, the begining of pictorialisam and experimenting with different tools and materials gave photographs a special structure, making it look more like a painting. Today's photography can not be strictly defined, cuz there are many styles and photographers who each day experiment more and more with photography, searching their own place in world of photography. |
