Abstract

Rad prikazuje ulogu grafičkog oblikovanja i vizualnog identiteta dnevnih novina u Hrvatskoj. Dnevne novine su dnevne informativne publikacije koje donose informacije iz svakodnevnih zbivanja u politici, kulturi, športu, te informiraju o dnevnim događajima iz neposredne okoline i životne sredine. U teoretskom dijelu daje se pregled i pojašnjenje osnovnih elemenata grafičkog oblikovanja novina poput tipografije, promjenjivih i nepromjenjivih grafičkih elemenata, uporabe boja, uporabe novinskih ilustracija i fotografija, čitljivosti, infografike i slično. U praktičnom dijelu analiziraju se i uspoređuju troje dnevne novine, koje izlaze na području Hrvatske, na temelju elemenata obrazloženih u radu. Analizirane novine su dnevne novine „24 sata“ i „Jutarnji list“, koje obuhvaćaju područje cijele Hrvatske, te dnevne novine „Glas Slavonije“, orijentirane na područje Slavonije i Baranje. Daje se kratak pregled povijesti odabranih novina i prosječna prodana naklada u 2011. godini. Iznose se zapažanja o rubrikama koje se koriste pojedine dnevne novine, te se iz toga zaključuje o ciljanoj publici kojoj su novine namjenjene. Zaključuje je se da su novine, koliko bile različite ipak u večini slučajeva dosta slične. Poštuju osnovna pravila oblikovanja i koriste slične dominantne boje. Sve se bore za što bolje isticanje za razliku od konkurencije jer, kako su došla vremena kada se tiskani mediji sve više izbacuju, tako i novine svakim danom gube sve više korisnika.

Abstract in english: This work reviews the role of graphic design and visual identity of daily newspapers in Croatia. Daily newspapers are daily news publications that bring information from everyday events in politics, culture, sports, and information on daily events in the immediate surroundings and the environment. In the theoretical part provides an overview and explanation of the basic elements of graphic design, such as the newspaper typography, changeable and unchangeable graphic elements, use of colors, use of newspaper illustrations and photographs, readability, infographics, etc. In the practical part are analyzed and compared three daily newspapers, appearing on Croatian territory, based on the elements explained in this paper. Newspapers analyzed are daily newspaper „24 sata“ and „ Jutarnji list“, which includes the whole Croatia and daily newspaper „Glas Slavonije“, oriented to the area of Slavonija and Baranja. Provides a brief overview of the history of selected newspapers and average sold circulation in the 2011th year. The article describes observations on the sections that are used each daily newspaper, and from that concludes the target audience that the newspaper intended. The conclusion is that the newspapers, as were different though in most cases quite similar. Respect the basic rules of design and use similar dominant colors. All are struggling for a better highlight the difference from the competition because, as the time has come when the print media is increasingly evicted, and newspapers every day lose more customers.
