Abstract

Abstract in english: The concept of print quality depends on technological options that are available for printing a graphic product. It also depends on market requirements that change over the time and set increasing demands for printing quality . In the printing process parameters and conditions that affect the print quality are not constant throughout the time of printing. That is the reason why is quality control of great importance. Modern methods of quality control are being rapidly developed in a number of institutions. Various tools have been developed and they differ in appearance and values, but they all have a common goal to enable and alleviate the printing process and to ensure print quality. Control strips are used for quality control and management of printing. Control strips are printed in a field of average size of 5-6 mm and are located on part of the printing sheet that is being trimmed and is not visible on the final product. They are used by different visual, densitometric and spectrophotometric methods which can identify different variations. Color space used in printing technology in defining the color, spectrophotometric measurements in the press, and tolerance between the two colors is defined as CIE L * a * b * color space. Color in CIE L * a * b * color space is defined by coordinates that place her in a three-dimensional CIE L * a* b * color space. Fields of gray balance are fields of measuring strip on which a neutral gray color printing consists of three primary colors that can be defined with some value.
