Abstract

Dimenzionalna stabilnost papira važan je parametar pri kontroli kvalitete grafičkih proizvoda. S obzirom da je papir u svom većinskom sastavu celuloza, on u kontaktu s vodom upija u sebe vlagu te bubri. Bubrenjem dolazi do povećanja celuloznih vlakanaca u papiru te se njegova dimenzija poveća za neki iznos. Na tu pojavu mora se računati pri otiskivanju grafičkih proizvoda u tehnici ofsetnog tiska jer tehnika zahtjeva kontakt tiskovne podloge sa otopinom za vlaženje. Papir se poveća za vrijeme prolaska kroz stroj te time uzrokuje pomak u nalijeganju jedne separacije na drugu. Zbog toga je potrebno tiskovne podloge na kojima će se vršiti otiskivanje prethodno testirati i buduću nastalu promjenu uzeti u obzir prilikom izrade tiskovnih formi. U ovom radu mjeri se dimenzionalna promjena na tri vrste papira vlažena trima različitim otopinama za vlaženje. Istraživanje se provodi metodom holografske interferometrije koja izrazito precizno može definirati svaku nastalu promjenu na površini papira. Metoda je neinvazivna te se mjerenja mogu ponavljati neograničeno, bez da se rezultati jednog mjerenja upliću u rezultate drugog mjerenja.

Abstract in english: Dimensional stability is important quality control parameter of printed products. Since cellulose is main paper ingredient, it absorbs the moisture and becomes liable to blistering, if it comes in contact with moisture. Moisture causes cellulose fibers to grow bigger and the paper changes its dimension. When it comes to offset printing, it is important to know how much dimensions of paper change in contact with fountain solution. That change is happening within printing machine, in between printing units, and causes shift in overlaping of color separations. That is why it is important to know how the paper behaves in moist area before we even start the printing proces. In this master thesis I am observing the change in dimensions of three types of paper moistured with three different fountain solutions. The research is managed using holographic interferometry, which can very precisely note even the smallest change on paper surface. Holographic interferometry is non-destructive method where measurement can be repeated indefinitely without interference of the results.
