Abstract

Abstract in english: Stop-motion is a technique that involves photographing an action frame by frame, afterwards merging these images in an animation.. Ater each shot is taken, slight changes are made in the position of the subject, which in the end creates the illusion of movement. This technique makes showing impossible situations possible, and the interaction between the subject and various objects and surfaces surrounding the subject can further enrich the story that we are trying to convey. Stop-motion is often used in the prouction of music videos, animated films, and as a supplement to a feature film, but also as a seaprate art form, like a different display of street art. A lot of artists are already known for their use of stop-motion technique to display their work in a different way, whether that be just as an interactive process of creating their work, or as a seaprate video that contains the whole story thah can't be read from the one image on the street. Some artists use the stop-motion technique to show their work in form of animated images, which relates to the new term gif-iti that describes those animated images that are created by painting several layers and recording these layers one by one. The process of making such recordings can be time consuming and requires a lot of detailed planning, and before the start of creating such videos one needs to have a clear vision of how and what wants to be shown. The theoretical part of this thesis analyses the ways of using stop-motion photography technique, as well as its usage for the display of street art, its settigns and procedures, which is later shown through practical work an the creation of sto-motion animation.
