Abstract

Istraživanje daje cjelokupan pogled svojstva proporcionalnosti i aditivnosti u praksi. Samim time je zanimljiva tema za povećanje kvalitete određenog grafičkog proizvoda.

Abstract in english: In the graphic technology Beer-Lambert's law is reduced to dependence of optical density on the concentration of pigments and dyes thickness. The law itself can be reduced to a form of theoretical concepts of additionality and proportionality. However, these theoretical concepts indicate errors in practice. This paper examines how certain factors affect proportionality and additivity failure. These factors are; the order of printing process colors and different printing techniques. For the purposes of this thesis, test chart was made with the primary, secondary and tertiary process colors in .eps format. Screen value of each color has been defined with a range of 10-100% coverage. For printing surface standard paper Navigator Universal 80 g/m2 A4 (210 x 297 mm) was used, and for printing techniques electrophotography (LaserJet Pro 4000 color) and Ink Jet (Epson Stylus Pro 3800). Curves depending on additivity and proportionality have been observed. The largest changes are found in the Ink Jet printer, eg. laser printer showed better results on all three test cards. Within the rules of additivity, the best sequence of colors proved to be recommended (CMY). Visual inspection confirmed of the results has been obtained. The study gives a full view of properties of proportionality and additivity in practice. Therefore it is an interesting topic for increasing the quality of a particular graphic product.
