Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu se obrađuje pojam digitalne fotomanipulacije. Obrađena je njezina povijest i razvitak kroz različite industrije. Uz neizbježnu upotrebu u modi, marketingu i politici, primjena digitalne fotomanipulacije se proširila i na zabavnu industriju. Filmovi i video igre su postali jedna od vodećih grana industrije i sve veća upotreba fotomanipulacije je postala neizbježna. U osmišljavanju scenarija, ambijenata, likova uvelike se koristi digitalna fotomanipulacija. Zbog efikasnosti i brzine izrade postala je glavni alat u predprodukciji igara i filmova. Koristi se za vizualiziranje koncepata i kao vizualna smjernica u cijelom procesu izrade proizvoda (filma,video igre). Sve veća dostupnost alata za fotomontažu dovela je do masovnog korištenja istih te pridonijela izumiranju klasičnih tehnika. Nastale su nove digitalne tehnike kao što su matte slikanje i photobashing. Zbog korištenja i manipulacije postojećih fotografija, mnogo konceptualnih umjetnika koji rade u industriji zabave smatraju da digitalna fotomanipulacija ne spada u sferu umjetnosti. Smatraju da u tom procesu izrade nema umjetničkog izričaja zbog korištenja tuđih fotografija i zaobilaženja osnovnih umjetničkih vještina i tehnika. Na konkretnom primjeru je obrađen postupak digitalne fotomanipulacije. Praktični dio se sastoji od nizova fotografija na kojima su primjenjene različite tehnike fotomanipulacije.

Abstract in english: This thesis deals with with the concept of digital photomanipulation. History and development through a variety of industries is treated through thesis. With the inevitable use in fashion, marketing and policy, the application of digital photomanipulation has spread to the entertainment industry. Movies and video games have become one of the leading industries and the increasing use of photomanipulation is inevitable. It is used in creating scenarios, scenery and characters. Because of the efficiency and rate of development it has become a major tool in creating games and movies. It is used in visualizing concepts and as a visual guidance throughout the process of developing the product (movies, video games). The increasing availability of tools for photomontege has led to massive use of them and contibuted to the extinction of traditional techniques. New techniques are born such as digital matte painting and photobashing. Due to the use and manipulation of existing photographs, many conceptual artists working in entertainment industry believe that digital photomanipulation does not fall within the sphere of art. They find that in the process of making there is no artistic expression due to the use of other people`s photos and avoiding basic art skills and tachniques. For tangible example, process of digital photomanipulation is processed. The practical part consists of a series of photos that have been processed through photomanipulation techniques.
